A very sad day but also one that swells you with pride at the same time, it was the first anniversary of  local soldier (Jason Rawstron) who was killed in the conflict in Afghanistan (it's the first anniversary ) and we donated 12 dozen mixed colour roses, he loved colour.., a dozen roses for each month in his first anniversary year )

the sun shone and the local primary school children all 37 of them, tied each rose to his bench, right by our cenotaph..it was lovely..each child was very respectful and the bench looked lovely when they had finished.

Jason loved colour and the children all did him proud.

His family loved what the children had done, and I was so proud of what they did I just had to share..
